Thanks Gwenael - and your point is valid.  Our goal is just that - to point out that air infiltration is very important and that there are still windows types out there that are quite bad to include sliding and hungs that are much worse than fixed, casement and awning - which is addressed in the blog. Also, note many manufacturers have not 3rd party tested for air infiltration - only those that pursue energy start certification. ]]></description>

At the other extreme, it is hard to find a window or a door that actually leaks at the .30 cfm/sqft rate.  The bad ones we run across are at the .16 level, in itself bad.   We do agree that air infiltration is too often overlooked.]]></description>
